Hello, I'm Tim

I'm the designer and maker behind Blockwood.  I've had a long career in marketing and business management and I'm still working projects as and when they come past my desk.  I found myself spending most of my free time in my workshop, so I decided to sell my designs and services online.  I'm passionate about wood and wooden furniture.  I love a challenge and really enjoy 'making things work' - whether tackling a tricky commission or dealing with a seemingly unresolvable problem.  My wife, Mary, often accuses me of 'over engineering' the solution...

We have three boys who keep us busy in the holidays.  I'm also a budding mixologist and keen Padel Tennis player.
